I'm not the type of person who can define my taste in music when asked. If someone would say, "What kind of music do you like?" I would proceed to answer with a random mis-mash of artist who make the occasional two song appearance on my i-pod.
I have varied tastes in music and didn't listen to much "good music" as a kid. That being said I have been on a 60's/70's classic rock kick for the past few months.
These are some of my favorite "new" discoveries of late:
- The Rolling Stones (check out this video of Sympathy for the Devil, live at Altamont)
- Aerosmith (Okay, so I listened to them before this new kick, but it fits the theme)
- Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven is a very long song by the way)
- Pink Floyd (I discovered their amazing-ness in a scene from The Departed. Van Morrison covers their song Comfortably Numb.)
- Credence Clearwater Revival
Okay Folks! Break out those old VHS tapes, it's time to revisit your childhood-- Mickey Mouse style!
- Good Manners
- Warm Weather
- Football
- Biscuits
- Chick Fil A
- The Clintons
- Moon Pies & RC Cola
- The Beach Shag
- The Blues
- Bar-b-que
- Pimento Cheese
- The Great Smokey Mountains
- Mayfield Ice Cream
- Charleston, SC
- Low Country Cuisine
- The many accents (yes...there are different kinds)
So if there is one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely LOVE making lists!!
I like making lists because...
they organize my thoughts
they are short and to the point
they don't take a lot of time to make
they can keep going and going.....
If only everything could come in the form of lists.
